Will you change my business name or brand?
1
No. Your company name, your storefront, and your brand identity remain exactly as they are. Red Dot Distributors does not rebrand, restructure, or absorb your business into a larger chain. What you built continues under your name.
What happens to my employees?
2
Every employee stays - unless you specify otherwise. No layoffs, no consolidating. Beyond that, every employee is enrolled in the RDD Employee Stock Ownership Plan, giving them a real ownership stake in your company and in the broader RDD group. It is one of the most meaningful things a departing owner can do for the people who helped build their business.

Will you change how my business operates day to day?
3
Will you move or close my location?
Our goal is continuity, not disruption. Your management team, your vendor relationships, and your operational processes stay in place. Where RDD adds value is behind the scenes — combined purchasing power, inter-company product access, and shared operational support.
Not unless you ask us to. Your business continues to operate from the same location. We are not consolidating facilities or centralizing operations. Your storefront, your warehouse, your office — they stay where they are. Your business is rooted in your community, and we intend to keep it that way.
What types of businesses does RDD partner with?

What happens to my customers and vendor relationships?

Do I have to stay on after the sale?
They stay exactly where they are. Your customers continue working with the same people they have always worked with, and your vendor relationships remain intact. In many cases, those vendor relationships actually strengthen because your business now carries the purchasing volume of the entire RDD group behind it.
That is entirely up to you. Some owners prefer a clean break. Others choose to stay involved in an advisory role during the transition. Every deal is structured around what works best for you and your family.
Our roots are in wholesale distribution and specialty manufacturing — particularly in plumbing, HVAC, and electrical products. That said, we are not limited to those industries. We are looking for family-owned businesses with strong local reputations and loyal teams, where the owner does not have a clear succession plan and wants to protect what they have built. If that sounds like your situation, we would welcome the conversation.
